Happy Easter

No pretty little girl to dress up this year like I had hoped but enjoyed every minute with my family. I couldn't help but make MC part of the festivities this year as I plan to do every year!

Thank you Oprah

So I'm pretty sure today's Oprah was a rerun but Garth Brooks was on there and I completely forgot how much I really really liked him. It was just Garth and his guitar singing "unanswered prayers" and "the dance". I must say brought tears to my eyes! I know all the words to both songs but hearing "the dance" today had a whole new meaning to me. I love moments that make me think about Mary Chandler and Garth singing that song gave me one of those precious moments.

So I got my first pedicure of the year today and I must say I'm officially in the summer spirit!

Here they are!! My 3 best friends. I don't know if anyone is as lucky as me in the friend department. I often think of myself as a snob because I really don't care to make new friends because I have these 3 who I know I will be friends with literally the rest of my life. Now don't get me wrong. We have our moments and even our months that things are not so peachy but I love them like my sisters :)

I've also been blessed with another amazing friend who seriously just makes me smile. I really think that's why we are friends just so she can bring me happiness when I'm not feeling so "happy". It also helps she just a tad bit older I feel like I learn so much from her. She is an amazing mom and even more spectacular wife!

Engagement Party!

Let me start off by saying I have never attended an engagement party so I really didn't know what to expect. Boy oh boy was I in for a treat tonight!

The couple kept the date a secret until tonight as well as officially asking people to be a part of this special day. The theme for the party was Tiffanys. That should have been a dead giveaway but I was clueless. So we get to the house and there are tiffanys boxes at the front door with candles and amazing flower arrangements. As soon as we come in we are greeted by the couple and asked to please sign in and then.... A photographer took our picture!!! This may be normal procedure but I was impressed. So we make our way to the patio where we are served a "special" drink which just so happens to be Tiffany blue. The night was starting off great. At promptly 8 pm we were asked to gather in the living room. The couple comes out with a small replica of a wedding cake with the date 6-16-12!!! (more on this later)



The couple handed these adorable pieces of cake that looked like a wrapped tiffanys gift to each member of the wedding party. You can see in the picture that the name tag says "will you be my groomsmen?" super cute!!!

I could go on and on about how fantastic this party was and how great all the people were but I'm sleeeeeeepy!

Another day...

Jeremy and I are headed to magnolia/El Dorado this weekend for an engagement party for one of Jeremys friends. No trip to south Arkansas is complete without visiting our Mary Chandler. I always regret not buying flowers here, so today I decided to go to Hobby Lobby. Buying flowers for her always brings out so many emotions for me. I'm happy that I'm getting to do something "motherly" for her but at the same time my heart physically aches that I visit my precious baby at a cemetery! It's a very surreal feeling every single time. I'm not sure if I'll ever get used to this... Anyways I went for yellow tulips to brighten things up and get ready for spring. I'll be sure to post some pics of her new flowers once I get them in their vase.



Here is a cute little thing I got to stick in the ground beside the flowers! I've been wanting one of these for a while so I think this one will carry us into summer :)
